For me, photography is a way of being present. I work through observation and intuition, paying attention to light, gesture, atmosphere and unexpected moments. I’m interested in images that convey emotion and preserve something of the experience of being there.

My photographic education began with analogue photography, and it still influences the way I work today. Natural light is fundamental to my practice, and the 50mm remains my favourite lens; I often say that my feet are my zoom. Composition is an essential part of the way I see: removing what isn’t necessary and finding a balance between sensitivity and precision.

Alongside my commissioned work, I have developed a career spanning more than two decades as a visual artist, exhibiting my work nationally and internationally. I have also worked in artistic direction, founding a performance art festival and developing projects with artists and institutions from different countries. For many years, I have taught photography. My background in graphic design and a BA (Hons) in Photography & Media Arts in England have influenced the way I understand composition, visual identity and narrative.

Moving between these different worlds has taught me to observe, listen, adapt and find solutions, as well as to understand the needs and objectives of each project. Whether I’m photographing a hotel, a destination, a brand or a celebration, I want to capture its essence and translate it into images with character and purpose.

Travel is my passion; I have a nomadic spirit. I love arriving somewhere new, being amazed by everything that is different and meeting people. Sight is, without a doubt, my favourite sense, and kindness is probably the human quality I value most. I’m especially interested in hospitality, travel and lifestyle projects, brands with vision, and commissions where there is a story to tell.
